AYŞEGÜL İZER

She was born in Istanbul in 1959. She completed her bachelor’s degree at the Sarajevo Academy of Fine Arts, Graphic Design Department in 1985. In 1987 she conducted research on printing techniques at the ABDK München / Munich Fine Arts Academy, and sculpture studies at Sir Eduardo Paolozzi Studio. She completed her Master's Degree in 1990 and Proficiency in Art in 1992 at Mimar Sinan University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Graphics. She became associate professor in 1999 and professor in 2005. Between 2005-2017, she was the head of the Graphic Design Department of the Faculty of Fine Arts of Mimar Sinan University. She worked on printmaking at IMOGA in 2007 and in 2018. She is the founder of Emre Senan Design Foundation and a member of the Graphic Designers Association. Her work has been featured in many publications, exhibitions, collections and museums around the world; she has given seminars, directed works and served as a jury member. She is the author of published articles focusing on issues related to her profession. She won 11 international awards. She speaks Italian, English, Serbian and Latin. She has a daughter.
