He was born in Prizren in 1948. He graduated from the Painting Department of the Pristina Pedagogical High School in 1970. In 1975 he graduated from the Istanbul State Academy of Fine Arts, Painting Department, Bedri Rahmi Eyüboğlu Atelier, which he entered in 1971. In 1976 he was elected a member of the Association of Visual Artists of Kosovo (and Yugoslavia). While working as a painter-restorer in Prizren Municipality Cultural Monuments Protection Institution for many years, he also continued his artistic work. During this period, he took part in all domestic and international exhibitions organized by the Association of Visual Artists of Kosovo. In addition to his painting works, he also made book and art magazine cover designs and emblem designs.
He settled in Turkey in 1992 and started to work as a lecturer at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University. By educating many students, and establishing the "Studio A La Turka Etching Workshop" open to artists, and by organizing several extensive original printmaking exhibitions, he contributed to the development and spread of the art of etching in Turkey. In addition to his solo exhibitions, he participated in many group exhibitions in the country and abroad. He has a total of 8 awards, three of which are state awards, in Kosovo and Turkey. His works are in institutions and collections in many countries. He continues his works in his studio in Istanbul. The works of the artist have been accepted to our museum by donation.
