FİLİZ KARSAN

She was born in Istanbul and studied at the Graphic Arts Department of Istanbul State Academy of Fine Arts (Mimar Sinan University). Following she studied design at École Normale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts and Académie de la Grande Chaumière in Paris, and art history at École du Louvre in Paris. She opened her first solo exhibition in Galerie du Lion Paris in 1981. So far, she opened many solo exhibitions and participated in group exhibitions in France, Belgium, England, Colombia, Algeria, and Turkey. Karsan still participates in the annual exhibitions organized by Marais Painters Group, which she is a member of since 1981, in Paris. She produced print works in the Istanbul Museum of Graphic Arts in 2012 and pursues her artistic career in Paris.
