GÖREN BULUT
He was born in 1945 in Mürefte. He graduated from Gazi Education Institute (Ankara) Painting Department in 1967. He completed his graphic speciality at London Saint Martin's School of Art in 1982, and his master of art program at London Chelsea School of Art in 1983. In 1983, he was appointed as a lecturer at Dokuz Eylül University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Graphics.
Having completed his proficiency in art (doctorate) thesis at the Institute of Social Sciences of Dokuz Eylül University (İzmir) in 1986, the artist became an assistant professor and associate professor in 1989, and a professor in 1995 at the same university. He retired from Dokuz Eylul University Fine Arts Faculty in 2005. Until 2016, he served as the dean of the Faculty of Communication, the founding dean of the Faculty of Art and Design, and the vice-rector at Yaşar University.
Bulut participated in the VII. XV. XX. XXI. Plein - Air International Art Camp held in the Hungarian town of Csongrad in 1998, in IAM Internationale Academie Marmaris Art Camp in Turunc in 1999 and in III. Anatolian Art Workshop held in Anadolu University in 2011. In 2002, he organized the 1st International Graphic Students' Meeting, coordinated by Dokuz Eylül University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Graphics Department.
The works of the artist, who has held many solo and group exhibitions at home and abroad, are included in various collections. Gören Bulut continues his life and art works in İzmir. The works of the artist have been accepted to our museum by donation.
