GÜLSEREN KAYALI

She was born in 1948 in Istanbul. Between 1967-77 she graduated with a Master’s Degree from the State Academy of Fine Arts, Department of Painting, while also getting instruction at the Professor Devrim Erbil Studio, and the Etching/Litography Print Studio of Professor Sabri Berkel/Fethi Kayaalp. Between 1968-72 she studied and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree from the Applied Industrial Arts College, Department of Textile Arts, Barbara Schmidt/Ozanay Omur Studio. In 1983; she produced Etching /Print Works at Professor Süleyman Saim Tekcan Etching Print Studio, Istanbul, Kadıköy. Between 1979-81; she worked at Şişli Terakki High School as an Art Teacher in Primary and High School. From 1982-83 she worked at Istasyon Private Art Studio as an Art Teacher for the 5-12 age group.

Between 1983-87 she served as the Association of State Painting & Sculpture Museum Director of Education, and as an Art Teacher for the 5-12 age group. Between 1984-87; she worked at Painting Courses in Summer School sponsored by a major bank in Turkey, “Akbank” as Art Teacher for the 5-12 age group. Between 1989-2006 she established and managed Studio Peinture Art Gallery & Workshop. In 2003 she started to reside in Ayvalık. Between 2006-19; she managed Paint Atelier Works at Ayvalık, Akçay, İstanbul, Kozak and Cunda Island. Since 2016 she has been preparing new art exhibitions in Ayvalık, Sahilkent.
