İNCİ EVİNER
She was born in 1956, in Ankara. In 1980 she received her B.A degree from the Istanbul State Academy of Fine Arts, Painting Department. She worked on printmaking at The Çamlıca House of Art in Çamlıca in 1986. In 1987 she received her PhD. degree from Mimar Sinan University of Fine Arts. Eviner has a wide, multi-layered working area where the videos she prepared based on drawing, and performative and collaborative practices are intertwined. In particular, she examines how subjectivity is shaped in her works, in which she touches on the functioning of power and representation over the female body.
