MEHMET OĞUR

He was born in Bandırma in 1949. He attended primary school in Bandırma. He graduated from Savaştepe Primary Teachers' School in 1967. He worked as a primary school teacher for one year. He passed the exams of Istanbul Education Institute Painting Department in 1968 and became a student of Ramiz Aydın, Süleyman Saim Tekcan, Selahattin Taran, Hakkı Karayiğitoğlu and Şinasi Barutçu in this school. The artist, who worked as a teacher in various secondary education institutions between 1971-1995, still lives in Gönen, Balıkesir. The works of the artist have been accepted to our museum by donation.
