MUSTAFA EREN
He was born in 1944 in Denizli. He completed his undergraduate education in 1972 at Marmara University Faculty of Fine Arts, State School of Applied Fine Arts. Between 1974-83, he worked as the design director of the Istanbul Festival of Istanbul Culture and Arts. He worked as an art director in organizations such as Milliyet Sanat, Nokta magazines, Larousse Encyclopedia and Motif Agency. He performed more than 50 font and about 100 original script and calligraphy studies independently. He designed many valuable books including “Mr. Cinema” edited by Giovanni Scognamillo, “Tophane Luleciligi” by ceramics artist Erdinç Bakla, and “Hilyeler” by Hattats Hüseyin Gündüz and Faruk Taşkale. He was named one of the Top 100 Graphic Designers and Illustrators of Istanbul by Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality. In 2011, Eren produced original printmaking at the Istanbul Museum of Graphic Arts and received many awards including the Letterpress Print Award. He is currently working as a lecturer at Fatih Sultan Mehmet Vakıf University Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Graphics.
