Born in Izmir in 1920, Nail Payza started painting with Abidin Elderoğlu and Arif Kaptan. He opened his first solo exhibition in Ankara in 1953. Later, he had many solo exhibitions in America and Canada. He returned to Turkey in 1974 and continued his work. Many of his works were exhibited in England between 1983-1986. In 1985, he started to work on original printmaking with Mürşide İçmeli and Hayati Misman. He was honored as an original printmaking artist in 1988. Nail Payza passed away in 1996. The works of the artist have been accepted to our museum by donation.
