NERMİN BEZMEN

She was born in 1954 in Antalya. She went to Maçka Primary School in Istanbul. Then, while studying at Ataturk High School for Girls, she went to America with an AFS scholarship in her senior year. Upon her return to Istanbul, she was educated at the Secretarial School of the Academy of Commercial Sciences at Istanbul University. In 1980, she started to work on charcoal drawing and watercolor. Later, she continued her education at the Department of Traditional Turkish Decorative Arts under the supervision of Ord. Prof. Süheyl Ünver for one year, at the Topkapı Palace Embroidery House for three years, and at the Istanbul State Academy of Fine Arts (now known as the Mimar Sinan University) for one year.

In 1986, she produced fine art prints at Çamlıca Art House. She started writing novels in 1991. She researched the story of Kurt Seyt, who was her maternal grandfather, and turned it into a novel. Additionally, she wrote many books in popular literature. Her interviews and articles were published in various newspapers. She was the host of the program ‘Ondan Sonra’, which was broadcasted live on TRT 2 television. She is still working as an independent writer and painter.
