SHAHNAZ AGHAYEVA

Shahnaz Aghayeva was born in 1984 in Azerbaijan. She completed her undergraduate education between 2002 and 2006, and her master's degree between 2008 and 2010 in the Fine Art Department at the Azerbaijan State Academy of Fine Arts. She supported the artistic development of children by establishing Masterkids Artclub in Baku, Azerbaijan in 2013. In 2018, she completed the training program in the YARAT education program at the YARAT Contemporary Art Center. The artist, who opened her first solo exhibition titled “Essence” in Baku in 2018, made it to the finals of the International Printing Biennial in Taiwan in the same year. In 2022, her second solo exhibition, “Sublimation”, was held at Gallery Kambur in Istanbul. Then, she attended the 17th Contemporary Istanbul in 2022 with Galerie Dix9. Aghayeva represents both Azerbaijan and Turkey in the exhibitions and fairs she attends. Shahnaz Aghayeva took part in many national, international and social projects. Aghayeva produced printmaking at IMOGA in 2021 and in 2023. The artist lives and continues her art work in İstanbul and in Bodrum.
